Pane doesn't collect information about you. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking, and the app doesn't include any third-party code that collects data. The only time anything is sent to us is when you choose to send feedback from the app.
Everything Pane keeps is stored on your iPhone or iPad:
If you turn on iCloud sync, your computers, groups, saved logins, and settings are stored in your own iCloud account, in a private database that only you can read. Passwords and SSH keys sync through iCloud Keychain, and only if you turn that on too. We can't see any of it.
When you connect, Pane talks to your computer directly, or through a gateway you set up yourself. Nothing passes through a server of ours.
Files you put in Pane's Shared With PC folder are shared only with the computers you turn file sharing on for.
Pane keeps a short log on your device of what it did recently: connections starting and ending, errors, purchases going through, and the app opening and closing. It includes your device model, iOS version, and Pane's version. It doesn't include computer names or addresses, user names, passwords, anything you type, or anything on your screens. The oldest entries are dropped as new ones are added.
The log stays on your device unless you send feedback from Settings › Help › Send Feedback. You can read the whole log there before sending, and leave it out if you like. When you send feedback:
Purchases are handled by Apple. We don't receive your name or payment details.
